Braga vs Liverpool Europa League Betting Preview
Liverpool travel to Portuguese side Braga in the first leg of their Europa League Round of 16 tie on Thursday and the bookies make them slight favourites to win on the night.
Liverpool can be backed to win over 90 minutes at best odds of 17/10 (bet $10 to win $17 profit) with Betfair.

That seems like a price avoiding given Liverpool have drawn their last four European matches on the road and have won only three times away from home in the Premier League this season. Of course they do come into the match with great confidence after beating Manchester United 3-1 at the weekend, but will be without star striker Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll is likely to be on the bench. That leaves the Reds pretty lightweight up front and not worth your money at 17/10.

While we don’t expect Braga to knock out Liverpool and reach the quarter-finals, we do think they have a fair chance of winning this first leg. The Portuguese side have won their last three European ties at the Axa Stadium, including a 2-0 victory over Arsenal in November, and at odds of 21/10 for the win they are undoubtedly the value pick on the fixeds.

The draw also has some appeal at 9/4 with Ladbrokes and is worth a small saver.
